unable to find journal to mystery and harluns watch

hi all
i am lost

i have done the mystery at harluns watch quest, i have killed all the trolls, i have followed the green arrow to the southern corner of the lower level of the cave, killed the troll. The green arrow points to this spot, but there is only 2 skeletons, and 2 zombies on hte ground. i have looted them all redone the quest and still no journal. if you look up there is a hole in hte room quite high that lets in light, is the journal up there, but because it is in hte same room on another level, the arrow is still green? i am a little lost.

any help would be awesome

i seriously need help

i have just been on oblivion for 2 hours.

i have gone back to go kresh, he said i haven't finished hte quest, i have gone back to darana (or what ever her name is) she says she still needs help.

i have even gone back to an earlier save and redone the quest from the start, i have not been able to find the journal. i also went through and searched every single skeleton in the cave, as well as firballed them out of the way so i can look closer. the green arrow marker is pointing to a spot on the ground inside the southern tip of hte first level, but there is nothing there but dirt. what is the journal called? if i can't find it, i can't advance, that means i have 2 quests i can't complete then if anyone knows anything that can help, please mess me

Me and my friend have had the same problem I never have finished this mission...but, you can still become Master of the Fighters guild.

There's a known bug where if you clear out the cave before you start the quest you can't finish it. If you're on the PC you can use a console code, but even if you're on 360 I think you can still progress in the FG without finishing the quest. I know there have been a couple threads on this topic, try searching the forum for "harluns watch".
