Find Familiar

Where do you get the scroll of find familiar? I can't find it on any of the merchants.

Check in the back of the Adventurer's Mart, the back left hand corner upstairs. The lady there has pretty much every scroll available.

Now that's strange... especially considering I've found who knows how many copies of that scroll around. It's somewhere, I assure you, but I can't think of where. I seem to remember there being one in MaeVar's Guildhall so you might check there. Otherwise it may be somewhere on this site in either a walkthrough, or another post.

Try the merchant on top of the wall .It just up the wall from the adventurer's mart.

The "spell store" on the map doesn't have it, but I'll try Mae'vars.

Save before you open your next chest.Some chest have random spells in them.I got mine in a chest in Irenicus's prison in chapter 1.

As far as I recall, there is a copy in the chest next to the forge in De'Arnise keep.

Hey-
I've tried to cast find familiar in a few different settings...(In a city, in the underdark) each time I get a rabbit! I reload and try again, and it's nothing but rabbits! Has the game decided that's my "spirit guide" or something? Has anyone gotten a familiar other than a rabbit?

I think the familiar you get depends on your alignment. Are you by any chance true neutral?

The type of familiar you get is decided by your alignment:
Lawful Good, Neutral Good: Pseudo dragon
Ac -2
Hp 24
magic resistance 50%
Thaco 13 hit for 1-3 damage, save or be renderd unconscious for 2 rounds
Chaotic Good: Fairy Dragon
Ac 4
Hp 24
magic resistance 32
Can cast mirror image and silence 15' radius
Lawful Neutral: Feret
Ac 0
Hp 24
Magic resistance 50%
75% Pickpockets
Stealth 40%
Find Traps 20%
True Neutral: Rabbit
Ac -4
Hp 24
Magic resistance 75%
50% find traps
30% stealth
Chaotic Neutral: Cat
