In this quest you are offered the boasts Kill the Cave Dweller
and Sacrifice an Innocent,
and Protect the Boy.
None of these "grey out" any of the other three when you take one, so it apparently is possible to do all three!
My question is:
Is the bandit you can have accompany you after the "side chamber" the (
uhm) "
innocent" you havta sacrifice?
And does that mean that you can still attack the Nymph after you give him to her? (ie: she does'nt 'port away!)
Obviously the sacrifice can't be the boy 'cause then taking either the "Protect" or "Sacrifice" boasts shoulda greyed out the other one! Not to mention blowin the quest entirely!!!
Could sum 1 plz esplain dis ta me?

I play TLC on an XBox 360, and the conflicting options are actually greyed out (or otherwise inaccessible). Are you sure you can select them?

According to the game guide, that bandit you rescued is the innocent person that you have to sacrifice.
And as what Cuchulain had mentioned, any boast that conflict with the one that you chose will surely be greyed out. If I recall correctly, I selected the 'Kill the Cave Dweller' boast and the 'Sacrifice the Innocent' boast was greyed out.
P.S. Mine's the PC version.

Um, I know that conflicting ones cause "grey out"!
I have see it happen in my game. Obviously this
did'nt happen or I would'nt have posted the question as then there would'nt BE one!
That's why I asked about her staying around after giving him up!
And I am also on the pc. Thanx for letting me know that the bandit is an "
innocent" one! Boy, you really need a scorecard to know who's who around here! ( I guess that if someone don't have horns or red eyes they just aint all that bad!?!

Sacrifice an Innocent: As mentioned this is the bandit that you rescue from the side chamber. If you choose to sacrifice him then you get evil points.
Kill the Cave Dweller: Kill the Water Nymph, this will get you good points.
It seems that if you choose to take both these quests you will even out any good/evil alignment points from the boasts. Also if you do both then you after you kill the nymph then you will free the bandit.
Protect the Boy: This means that you have to make sure that he does not get hit at all by any enemies...namely the Hobbes. Even one hit on him will mean that you fail the boast. The best way to do this is to get him to 'wait' and go ahead and try and clear each new area.

I get the "Protect" idea!
Do you mean that she won't kill the bandit immediately? That he will go into a stasis cage like the boy and she will still be there for me to kill?
If all you said is right I should still come out ahead on good points as long as I can protect the boy!

It's been a while since I last played the game but if I recall correctly, the bandit will instantly die and the boy will be released.

Sorry Des, I tried it and, well, Have you ever heard of Echanasia (something like that), it's suppose to work wonders on memory!

He goes into a stasis cage just like the boy, guess the Nymph has to perform the sacrifice at an appointed time!
He also starts cussing up a blue streak at you for turning on him!
