Hi:

I am trying to get Worglan to offer me the chance to purchase the Totem Of The Tree. He doesn't give me that opportunity. No offer to purchase it. So just for the heck of it, I fought him and won. But I still could not get the Totem.

Can anyone explain why? Am I too far ahead of the game and it will not let me purchase it yet, but will later? If that is the case, what is it I have to do to get to that point in the game??

Maybe the reason Warglaw doesn't offer to sell the tree (or you didn't have the option to buy it) is if you didn't first talk to Staroxia on every option.

Anyhow, since you killed him, when you go to the tree guards in the far NE of northern steppes, they should attack you. In that case, just run past them.

Thanks for the reply. Nope, I did go through all options and there was no choice about buyiing. I've run throught the conversation a couple times and it's never given the "buy" option. Oh well, I'll just have to do as you suggest and run through the guards when the time comes.

So, Worglaw never asked you what you thought the Totem was worth or anything like that? He asks and then there are some figures such as 1000 gold and 10, 000. If you don't offer enough or engage him he seems to get "offended". Naturally he wants the highest figure, 10,000 gold for the thing.

If you have an arcane magic user for a character, fire novas and fireballs should get rid of the guardians/harrowbark walkers pretty quicky as well. Just a thought.

No, the problem was me ....

My apologies to George. I didn't read his reply to me thouroly. I thought he was referring to dialog with Worglaw.

What George told me was to talk with Staroxia *FIRT* and go throught all the options with her. I have not spoken to her yet so that is the answer.

I was in the area of Worglaw and thought I could get the tree now, but as George says, not before talking with her.
