Hey.........
I'm a 7th lev. wizard and a 1st level Pale master.
My question is: did I choose my prestige class too soon? Should I level up in wizard first. As of now I can't gain anymore wizard spells if I level up in pale master.....Any help would MUCH appreciated.

You'll get new spells every other level as Palemaster.

It is also possible to raise your level in any of your classes instead of being forced to smply level up your prestige class. I use this method to save 5 of my skill points from duelist to apply them as thief - alternate leveling up.

You can carry only 5 points over from one levelling up to the next.

IMO, I would have. As a wizard you want to get to around lvl 10 as fast as possible since they are so weak until around that point. Then, I would start taking the pale master lvls for the cool little abilities and such. The pale master abilities and wizard spells every other lvl at that low of a character lvl will make you weaker.
Of course, you can play the game any way you want and that's the fun of an RPG. But, if you want a more powerful character, there are better ways to achieve this by planning your lvls out.
