I've just come out of the Underdark and talked to Elthan. Everything was going fine, until i tried to leave and the harpers turned up. Immediately they attacked me, and the elves with them! You can't land one blw, or the main character dies, so i just ran away. Now that i've done everything else and want to get into the Elven city, i'mn screwed becasue i can't talk to anyone. I've tried charm and mental dom but they seem very resistant. I don't want to have top start again!!!!
Can anyone help???

You are so screwed it's not even funny. Just kidding. Seriously though, when the Harpers showed up did they address Elthan directly or just you? If they just addressed you and you ran instead of attacking, did the rest of the elves turn red then?

Hope you got a save before you talk to Elthan.

If you got a save before this happen .Dump Jaihera. You can pick her back up in the city.

Yeah, it's me again, the guy with the problem.
This happened a while ago, and snce they all turned red i've killed Bodhi, gone to Trademeet, Umar Hills and all the stuff i didn't do before going to Spellhold. I don't have any save games from that far back.
If i'm screwed, just tell me.
This is my favourite game at the moment, but i don't think i could find the time to do all that again...

When i left there was only 20 post between us .NOW THERE IS 70 TO 80!!!

I don't think you're totally hosed though. If Elhan gave you the Lanthorn quest and you got that, then take it back to Elhan and see what happens. I can't imagine the guys at Bioware setting something like that which would totally screw your chances of completing the game; worse case you just use the Lanthorn like they normally would to get to the final part of the game. BTW Weasal: you'll have a chance to catch up tonight; I'm going to sleep when I get home and am not touching my computer so in the morning I imagine we'll be a lot closer again.

How do you use the Lanthorn without Elthan's help?
(Funnily enough the general Silvanidos or whatever stays blue, along with the warsage. The general only attacks you when Elthan enters the screen as red. He has nothing to say, however)

GO over to the Walk through and look at the map for Forest of Tethyr.You will see 5 on the map with no reason for it to be there. This is the enter/exit for Suldanessellar.I don't know if this will work.

It's possible you used an area spell which hit the elves... That's just plain bad luck. You should had loaded up your auto save.

Well, what I would do is just well become like our friend the tanner and flay all the beggers in town May not solve much, but great stress reliver.

I had something similar (abeit less destructive) happen to mee.

I had just finished of the shadow dragon with the realy long name and was prepping my party to kick the Shadow Lord's ass. I buff my party to heaven and enter the next room.
To my surpise there are city guards there. I figuered: "Nice some help!"
Nope, they came for Nalia. How they found her is beond me but they took her. A perfectly waste of a spell trigger (I was prepping for the 6x fireball comi).

Oh well, I kicked the Shadow Lords ass anyway, he was much easier then the dragon anyway.

BTW Kinda funny having two conversations at the same time (With the shadow lord and Nalia's boyfiend).

I've just spent the last few hours trying to fix everything, but to no avail. I've managed to kill everyone in the area except Elhan, because he simply cannot die. Too important in the game.
So, what was made to STOP people attacking the elves and ruining the quest has ruined my game utterly.
Not a happy boy.
