can't take pitcher plants? *spoiler*

I've come across maybe 40 or 50 pitcher plants all over the Cyridill map, and for some reason keep getting the "you find nothing you can use" message every time I try to harvest one. You don't have to be a certain level to make potions or whatever from these do you? (I'm a lvl 31 currently.) Just kindof strange.
And while I'm at it-- is there ever a time you can equip Lachance's "mother's head" from the Dark B. quest? I'd love to find out I can unleash some kind of creepy power from it or something, haha.

Different flora have specific percentages of success for harvesting. I believe the chance of harvesting the Pitcher plant is among the lowest, something like 20% chance. I don't know if your luck attribute plays a role in this.
Can't help you on the DB question.

Can't equip mother's head, but I've heard it opens up a minor dialog toward the end of the DB questline if you show it to the right person. Some details/spoilers in this thread:

Oh, that's interesting. I'm sure my luck is pretty low since I've increased that attribute only once or twice in all the level-ups... and with all the other plants, it seemed like I could always harvest every second or third one no matter what it was. Even the pitcher plants in the little Arcane university "garden" won't give me a break.

:::Just thought I would interject a funny story here:::
Last night I tried picked pitcher plants up, and after not being able to pick a SINGLE ONE UP I just called it quits and stopped playing, and went out. Later that night, I had this weird dream about those stupid plants!!! Decided this morning to play some oblivion and check the forum and saw this thread!!! made me laugh for some reason. Ok, peace out .:laugh:
