As a total novice to BG2, how do I use the Turn Undead facility when when one of my party dies in battle?

Erm... It's not for turning your dead party members undead - it's for killing existing undead (skeletons, liches, vamps) or with an evil cleric winning them over to your side. It is an exclusive action, so you can't fight or cast spells while doing it. The only thing that can help your dead is raise dead or ressurrection (sp?), as a spell or at a temple. All I can say is RFM (ask Sourced if you don't know what that means).

Oh, yeah, I remember that one ... I asked him about it the first time ... a VERY clear one, once you know what it means.

Anyway, the strength of the Turn Undead depends on the level of your cleric. It's really funny, when I played through the first time, I had a Priestess of Lathander. By the end of the game, flipping on Turn Undead while they were near would instantly clear them out (well, not the higher level undead, but the lower ones anyway).

On a side note, the dutch translation of "Turn undead" is a blast. They took it a bit to litterly. It translated with "Verander in ondode" or translated back to English "Become Undead"

I realy enjoy it when they let people who have no idea what the game/movie is about translate or sub-title.

Thank you for the acnoledgement on RFM, Chameleon. Image

It means Read the F*cking Manual.

The phrase comes from frustrated help-desk persons.

Come on, admit it, You try something out. It doesn't work. You call the help desk, search the Net and then, only then, do you read the manual. Image

Turn undead will also cause most lower level undead to turn and walk away hence turn undead Image

BTW this does as previously stated all depend on the LVL of your charachter.
