Is there any way to add spell effects to a spell while it is being casted, like in the cut-scenes with Irenicus?

I've been using IEEP for a few days now, and I know a little about creating spells, and I am able to add effects after the spell is cast, but not during the spellcasting.

Could anyone help?

PS: Sorry if this sounds confusing..
