Okay, so the farthest I've gotten in the OC is the beginning of Chapter 3. What would I need as far as a magical weapon in order to, say, have my paladin hit Klauth? Should I have a +3 weapon? Knowing 3.X edition rules, that'd be the best choice, but that limits what weapons I could have by then.
As as I can tell, these are the only available +3 or higher weapons by the beginning of Chpt 3. Note: weapons marked with * are crafted by Barun Silverblade at the encampment at the beginning of Chpt 3.
- Ravager halberd +4*
- Harbinger Kin greatsword +3*
- Drone morningstar +4*
- Elven Court Bow (+3 longbow)
- Axe of the Tall Kin (+3 double-axe)*
- Gladiator's Club +4*
- Foundation (Light Flail) +4*
- Sentinel (Battleaxe) +3*
- Runehammer (War hammer) +3*
- Ironwood Mace +3*
- Sword Saint Legacy (Katana) +4*
Did I miss any other weapons, and will I really need a +3 or higher to actually hit some enemies in Chapter 3 and onward?

Can't remember its name but i think there is a longsword that does +3 damage (you make it with a diamond at the smith). thats the one i normally use throughout the entire game - get the +1 in Chapter 1 and upgrade it to +3 in Chapter 3. Never had any problems killing anything with it

Isn't said crafted longsword a +2 longsword, though? I swore that's what was made.
Knowing my paladin, he'd likely have Harbinger Kin, but seeing as Klauth's immune to fire damage (being a red dragon and all), should I still go for such or no?

Yeah, it might be +2 actually.
When I played as a paladin I had very little trouble with Klauth. I can't remember what weapon I used but it was probably the greatsword. Klauth is evil so if I recall I used smite evil on him and didn't really worry too much about his immunity to fire. If you have high strength you will do quite a bit of damage with the Harbinger Kin without the added fire damage. If you have anything that protects from elemental damage, use that too as he will use breath attacks, although if you attack in short bursts you can dodge this by running away. Also, remember that you can seriously weaken him if you feed him a dead dragon sphere before fighting him. It makes the fight a lot easier.

Okay, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks, man.

You can only craft items in Chapter 1 and 3, and to do so you need the correct ingredients and to find the smith that will make them for you, as well as enough gold to pay for it.

Well said mr sir. To add to this, allow me to point out this thread.
If you have trouble wading through that wad of info, here's what you need for that flail, paraphrased for conciseness.
Drone +4 = +1 flail plus 27788GP plus 1 Fairy Dust

Awesome, thank you!
Where abouts is the smith in the 3rd chapter?
I've just arrived, and only found the generic smith.

The smith is the same smith that was in Chapter 1, he is now in Chapter 3 in the camp.

Yep. Although I've consistently found Klauth to be the most difficult opponent in the game, its the Balors in chapters 3 & 4 that require the +3 weapons to beat the damage resistance they appear to have. The longsword mentioned is +2 but it also does D10 sonic damage, which means its viable against Klauth.

Correction: The smith in Chapter 1 is named Marrok. In Chapter 2, said smith is named Barun Silverblade.

Drone needs an enchanted morningstar not a flail for Barrun Silverblade to craft.
