Anyone ever heard about them?? Perhaps anyone here in this very forum.
I get the impression that BG2 not is played by that many females.

Erm ... it doesn't count to play a female character right? Image

No, I'm a guy alright (in case the name didn't give that one away Image )

Damn, I knew I was attractive, but that I'm attracting guys as well is new to me ... Image

I'll leave the fun stuff here for now, so the topic can get some serious serious replies (unless flinfman, Weasel and/or Kiddo cannot stop themselves). Image

I asked the same bleeding question the other day and some smartassultraspammers started throwing words (among other things) on my poor head...

So ARE there ANY female gamers? My wife wouldn't even touch the keyboard if anything more complicated than solitaire is on, so... what is the deal?

I guess Kaker is your husband, then? Or not? Anyway, it's nice to know that there are indeed women playing the game.

Considering the way other married people (I'm single) have to deal with their partner, I guess you are lucky. And I mean both of you. (Unless of course you'd only have one computer Image )

So you thought ... ah well, what the heck, let's make a hick-up on my posts as well, eh? Image

Trying to beat me in number of posts? Other have tried, and failed to even come close so far (okay, Sleepy is NOT included among those - he used to have most BEFORE I took that position). But I like the struggle that the others are putting up. From my perspective, it's humorous!

By the way, although the name is 'double', are you really posting as two different people? Or is Kaker not active on this forum?

(Another by the way, where did you get your nicknames?)

Heh... not only am I an avid *female* computer gamer, I also gamemaster several pen-and-paper RPGs (I am familiar with at least five systems, and my first foray into GMing was HeroSystem, for those of you who are familiar and might care). Also, I met my husband through gaming, not vice versa. I've written a few things for various games, some of which I have gotten either cash or sourcebook contributing credit for.

it's good to note that there are at least a couple of female gamers out ther playing BG. I'm concerned that more either aren't playing due to the rpg genre being stereotyped as "hack & slash" as the above post mentioned, or the gals just aren't presenting themselves on this board. If they did, we gentlemen would do nothing but honor them, am I right guys? (how's that for answering your question finally Ubik? Image)

Yes!!! Female gamers are great. We need more of them. Most girls I date hate games and it would be so nice to date a girl who gamed. I do think there are more female gamers than we realize. They're just not so obsessive that they spend time on bulletin boards =P

I used to be an avid Ultima Online player and there were a lot of females playing. (of course I think there were a lot of guys saying they were female too. But that's another story)

I've read articles where girls claim that games aren't geared towards them. Maybe the Lifetime Channel should start publishing games.

Be careful what you ask for. if you marry a female gamer you'd better have two computers or you're not gonna get to play :P

*snicker* Um, actually, my husband and I each have our own computers... and our own copies of BG2. 'Course, I'm not going to get any presents for Christmas... or our anniversary... or my birthday, since the second computer was my conglomerate present for the next year. *shrug* Small price to pay.
