Ok well I have had the game for about a year and a half now, sadly for the first like year I didnt get much time to play it since my computer was really stupid but I have obtained a new one recently in the past 4 months and I have been playing alot more. I have only beaten the game with the venture which was ok but nothing to great imo. For the most part I didnt really like that character I suppose. Now I am stuck because I have trouble sticking with one guy for a long time. I really liked the Nosferatu but them being all ugly and such and missing out on missions kinda sux, specially since you have to be hiddin. So I tried the Treador or however you spell it, the seductive vampires, but I find that being really seductive and such doesn't help really at all when you get to HollyWood, so then I tried the Tremere but they are too powerful and rely on to many spells. I guess what I was looking for is a character that is very brutal in melee but still has good charisma and such for persuasion. As for the Brujah I don't really like how they look or act, not my kind of character, and the Gangrel... I don't know about them lol.

For what you want, my personal recommendation is the Malkavian. Apart from having unique dialogues, and being very fun to play with (chat with the TV newscaster, arguing with a stop sign), they are good for melee combat and can be made to have good social skills. Also, their lunacy hides a disturbing insight, and playing with a Malk reveals more about the different characters of the game.

Apart from the Malks, next in list would be the Ventrue, who can become powerful PC's but their royal blood makes them unable to feed on "lowly" blood, so no rats and no hobos. I myself finished the game with a Ventrue and almost with a Malkavian, and made them good for combat AND social skills.

Basically, almost every clan vampire can be made to be good at both combat and public relations, apart from the Nosferatu, whose "beauty" affects their interactions with mortals a lot.

re. (slight spoiler?)

Its been a while since I completed the game with a Nosferatu but as far as I can recall I the only mission I skipped on was hooking up Romero with a lady friend in Hollywood apart from that I was able to do all of the missions I could do with the other clans and Betram offers a Nosferatu only quest to give it some more flavour Nosferatu is one of two clans where the dialogue options are different (the other being Malkavian) which could be an incentive. The manual makes the not being seen restrictions sound alot worse than they actually are in game in my opinion, and the only thing you really miss is the ability to flirt with Jeanette and VV. ;)

The other option is the auto level system - I don't know if you turn it on or not but if you want a more customised experience you could play around with that - turn it on all game if you play with it off and vice versa. This should allow youto create a charismatic & seductive Brujah if you wanted to.

Hope that helps :)
