SoA -> ToB..."Don't"s

As a major major packrat, I thought I'd be really really sneaky and smart and bring just about everything and anything I could from SoA to ToB. I thought, maybe Caspenar would be able to make some super-freaky item with them. It was alot of trouble, and I'm posting this to save the other obsessive compulsive packrat'ers the same trouble, and to tell you what items to NOT bring, because they don't combine into anything.

1) The legendary figures items from Sahuagin City. These are the items you'd get from the Imp's riddle games, Elminster's pipe, Drizzt's scimitar, et cetera. I thought, hey maybe these items would turn into some freaky sort of pipe/staff/helm/scimi/necklace all-in-one super item...I was WRONG.

2) The Quest keys. Every key I've ever found in SoA. I thought maybe they'd turn into some sort of master key that would unlock everything! I was...WRONG.

3) Every quest item I've ever found from SoA. Dragon's Egg (fake and real), Sekolah's Teeth, Prince's Heart, Light Gem, Dog Bones, those Thrall circlets from the Planar Prison, that stupid piece of red clothe you get from the graveyard/ransom quest, everything you can think of, I had. NOTHING! :mad:

4) Those stupid items from the asylum sanity test, the sundial, gagged man statue, flask of water, the hoourglass, all those...nothing... :mad:

5) All those little notes from SoA, Dradeel's recipe, the 'Go Monkey! GO!!' notes, all of those...again, nothing.

6) And at last, Yoshimo's Heart. Maybe they can clone him down south. Nope, they're just as stupid as their Amnish brethrens.

What is the moral of the story? Don't be a moron like me! Leave those items on the ground and RUN!

Heh. No offense, but what led you to think that those items used to complete a quest would ever have any value? They're not rewards, they're just pieces used to finish a puzzle. :D

I think it should be well established by now that logic has no place in any of my actions in this particular case.

By the by, if anyone has question about a particular item but they aren't sure if I've tried it already. Just ask, I'll tell you whether or not I brought it, chances are I did, and whether or not it did anything.

So far the only thing that I brought that had ANY use at all was the Elven Holy Water, since you should have one left over from Bodhi, but since you can buy that in ToB, it isn't really special.

Yuusuke, maybe you didn't get anything for all your trouble, but at least you made me laugh. Out loud! :p Thanx.

Yeah, but since that's so out in the open already, I assumed everyone knew about it and left that out.

redeem Yoshimo? You do know you can take his heart to a tempel of Illmater and remove the geas from his heart? If yes, then I'm sorry for stating the obvious :) . If not, then you really should redeem him, because it's worth 100,000 exp, and if you play good (like I for some reason always do :) ), it's a very, very good deed.

I knew about that, but I was thinking, hey maybe he could be brought back to life if I had the heart in the Abyssmal Plane. Basically I was just testing different things to see if anything would happen.

The manual actually says what items Cespensar will convert. I don't recall the list missing anything, or not enough that I noticed.
