Alright, folks. We all know about Gorion's ward and all that, but who is your protagonist? You see, I'm thinking of playing a multiplayer, pure roleplaying, no cheats (aside from ShadowKeeper) game. While brainstorming characters I was wondering what PCs others have come up with, and I was brought back to what was probably my favorite PC, which I have thrown together below.

So shoot me your ideas. I'd love to hear opinions about what really worked for people role play- and combat-wise. A nuetral drow sorcerer? Chaotic evil teifling barbarian? Emotionally unstable halfling? Feel free to give me the backstory.


My favorite PC, which is probably the single best stat roll I ever had, went though BG1, TotSC, BG2 and ToB. I have her character file saved for whenever I wish to solo on insane mode.

Two Weapon Style, deals with long swords. Wears Jester's armor from Spellhold.

Had many PCs over the year. Currently:

Tapani - CN Moon elf - Feywarden of Corellon (cleric)
-resents authority
-dislikes humanity, particularly the nobility (Lady Delcia felt the wrath of his mace)
-sided with Bodhi, wiping out the Shadow Thieves (preferring to wipe those who choose evil rather than the naturally-evil vampires)
-headstrong, arrogant, unsavoury individual. Doesn't strive for goodness but removes anyone he sees as evil, though does not judge immediately
-promotes elven expansion across faerûn
-impulsive and unpredictable

Combatwise, he channels the power bestowed to him by Corellon to fight at the front versus his enemies, protected by a barrier of blades and regeneration.

Bright, alcoholic paladin who is bigoted against gnomes. Talented, brash, reserves judgement, and has a lively sense of humor. Loyal. Red hair. Wears all yellow. Fun dude.

Thought I'd add my current BGtutu PC aswell.

Xarleth - CG Drow Stalker:
Having lived in the fortress of Candlekeep for his short life, Xarleth has been very overprotected and shielded from the world outside. Gorion raised him as best he could to be a good and decent person, though Xarleth has a slightly darker nature that goes deeper than the colour of his skin. Unknown to Gorion, he would often sneak out at night through a secret passage in the castle walls and spend the night-time watching the sea or exploring the nearby area. There is a strong individualist streak in him and Ulraunt oft referred to him as "the feral".
Leaving with his foster-father under mysterious circumstances, he was ambushed in the night and Gorion was killed. Out in the wild with no purpose, he was aware of the reputation of the drow and the danger he was in and so moved silently as a shadow up to the Friendly Arm, where Gorion had intended to go. He was met with hostility and much mutterings and ill-looks and decided to keep a low profile, hood raised and silent. He had no liking for Khalid and Jaheira and told them he did not wish to be burdened by their presence and was half-reluctantly allowed a room for the night by Bentley Mirrorshade, owner of the Inn.
He has since been travelling the wilds of the sword coast, never staying in any one place longer than half a day and avoiding contact with anyone if he could help it, having already experienced his race's negative image on Faerûn. Bandits and ogres and gibberlings have fallen to his bow and now he approaches Nashkel, intrigued by the many rumours he has heard.
