Why can't I level as a divine champion?

I am a lvl 7 Aasimar Paladin but I am unable to choose classes in any prestige class, like divine champion. How come?
Did you meet the requirements as listed here: http://www.gamebanshee.com/neverwintern ... ampion.php
If so, then I don't know why. Maybe a bug, but I have not heard of a bug (yet) that won't allow you take a level in a class unless you haven't met the requirements.
