Lizard Leader in chapter 3, need help! [SPOILERS]

After trying to get the lizarmen to ally with me, after the fight, I'm stuck. I can't leave the fight area and get back into town to move on, what do I do?

Stuck how?
Did you try running back to Elder Mayne (that means running around those rocks where your convo with the lizard peon was) because that's what you need to do.

If your game is patched fully, then it sounds like a trigger didn't fire.
Only thing I can think off its opening up the toolset, and checking out which triggers where supposed to fire - and then manually calling that trigger.
Never had to do that myself, so can't give you specific advice towards this particular incident.

same thing happened to me
With my Sorcerer, I killed him too fast and he did not morph into elemental and without that action I couldn't get out either. Sooo I had to kill him more slowly.
