Since I did not see a thread on this, I decided to post one; in conjunction with some of the odd things NPC's have said to me recently. The most random thing I have heard is, upon entering a building:

"I found a piece of cheese. Is this your piece of cheese?"

I just think thats weird, as there is no cheese at all in Vvardenfell. Please post odd or random things NPC's have said to you.

The most random thing that I have heard was "protect my pillows".

I was in the Balmora mage's guild the other night, and the one somewhat snooty high elf (can't recall her name), said something like,

"I really like those blue plates, but the brown ones just seem to last so much longer."

I've also heard a line that ends something like:

"...and there I was, all alone, naked."

Wish I could remember the rest of that one!


Or once, I had a character running about totally starkers because I was practicing my unarmored skill, and I wandered into Arille's.
He vaguely said, "...I've never seen one of those before"
...This might explain why there are no children in vanilla Morrowind...

My favourite.

I walk into a trade house from some time out exploring and sure enough... some one says "what's that smell?"

and when the Ordinators say something denigrating... well, I call that an invitation to take their armor... (OFF OF THEIR CORPSES!!!)

I heard another good one at fort frostmoth last night

"See senic Solstheim. Party with the heaterns. Bring your own corpse."
