can i import my player from neverwinter nights into hordes of the underdark?

I know as far as im aware that you cant go from the first game into shadows of unrentide? But can i jump straight into HoU with my level 20 fighter from the first neverwinter nights?

It just strikes me that i wont level up enough to warrant importing the chrachter i use in SOU into HoU.

Can someone tell me if this can be done and how can i do it

You can save your character in the original NwN and then use existing character in HotU where you select the character you saved in the original NwN.
Similar - you can import your NwN character into NwN or SoU as well, or vice versa.
