Can i play oblivion with just the Shivering Isles download.

I played oblivion for a long time and decided i would let my stepbrother in Indiana borrow it. 
I no longer have the disc.
I play on the 360. If i downloaded shivering isles from the xbox live marketplace could i play soley (sp?) off of that?
My only other option would be to wait till the summer and bring it back when i go to visit.
Does anybody know?
