I was just wondering if any one had heard anything regarding the next vampire game? It would realy bum me out i there wasnt a sequil. I think this game absolutly rocks but there were a few too many bugs for my liking. :speech:
If anyone knows of the sequil please tell me.
Also I have a rather irritating bug whilst playing the society of leopold. I get to the boat and my game closes itself down. This is realy starting to get on my nerves

, as i am having to start a new game without finishing my old one... Is there a patch? Or some kind of file I overwrite?

Odd. That's not considered a vulgarity, here. On the other hand, if you
did use asterisks or anything else to get around the usual vulgarities, you would get infraction points that lead, every several more infractions, to a ban. Worth keeping in mind.

If you get an infraction, there will be a red card next to your post. As there isn't, you have not had an infraction. Also, when a moderator gives an infraction, you will also recieve a PM explaining why you recieved it

No sequel anytime soon.
There's a somewhat similar game called Vampire the Masquerade Redemption. It's good, but you can't pause and select actions without a little modification of the game. PLay it and you'll see why you need that feature. The game is more like Neverwinter Nights and Knights of the Old Republic than Bloodlines though. It's good, but not as good in my view.

thanks about the infraction info peeps
About the next vampire game... I have played redemption but as I played bloodlines first it wasnt that good! Im realy realy realy hoping they bring out a sequil to bloodline, you can only play bloodlines for so long without wishing there was something else to do. Once I have completed every quest and had every single secret sucked out of the game... then thats it for bloodlines for the moment.
Its been three years already... are they even going to make a sequil?

The World of Darkness has never attained the same level of popularity as the more mainstream Dungeons and Dragon's worlds. As such, both of the Vampire games which have been released, while meeting the status of cult following, never really broke down barriers and wow'ed the communities out there.
Both games, in there own right, were good games (with my personal preference with Redemption over Bloodlines), but neither were stellar. Bloodlines, I believe, was actually supposed to be Troika's lifeline, which did not fare so well (Troika closed their doors).
So, unless another developer wishes to take on the challenge of doing a World of Darkness game, it is unlikely we will see another one, especially with the low success rate of the previous two.

A sequel to Vampires: The Masquerade - Bloodlines? I don't think so. Troika went bankrupt back in 2005 so I doubt there will be a possibility for a sequel.

OMG NOO! I cant believe it.... Who would I have to pester to get another vampire game?

No one. It's already been pointed out repeatedly in this forum that the audience simply isn't there. Game companies aren't impressed by a small number of enthusiasts: get 25,000 together, and you might be able to impress somebody. Even then, they would probably point to figures of 100,000 to make really good sales.

Oh hey, I know, maybe Bethsoft could buy the exclusive publishing license. They could make it utterly devoid of any content, add lots of splashy graphics and call it a "revolutionary and completely original RPG experience."
Seriously..
I think the Vampire games are still another victim of a RPG market that has been rapidly detiorating in quality since about 2000/2001.
*sigh*

I highly doubt that Bethseda is willing to take that risk. They bought the Fallout licence since the Fallout series had a large following so there is no chance that they are willing (or even interested) to buy a licence with a rather small following. If supposedly that someone is willing to buy the licence, it will either be a small company or an independent developer. Just a hunch, though.

Oh, I wouldn't disagree in the slightest. That would be my estimation as well. I was just being facetious

Haha thanks
I already had some pretty cool Ideas for MY game lol. I want there to be a quest where you have to return to the ocean house as this was the best level of bloodlines. That would be awesome

Maybe Therese had knocked it down, rebuilt it but the spirits came back or wouldn't leave?
Also I thought that as in bloodlines there was Santa Monica, Downtown, Holywood and Chinatown, there could be new places but in a simelar fashion to the way these were introduced in the game.
One of my favourite ideas though is the players family having found out about there relative being a vampire and the player has been given a quest to destroy thier entire family... however loosing countless humanity points and gaining many xp points for completing this quest but loosing many masquerade redemption points and gaining humanity and a few xp points for failing. OR alternatilvly talking your way out of it with different feat.
I am currently talking to some designers and developers I know about my ideas... so
