Weird, I meet all the requirements. i have an ATI Radeon x800.

I can configure all the graphic setting with no problem. But when I start a new game, the loading screen apears as usuall but the it blinks and it resets the graphic settings to default (800x600, etc...).

Any clues?

Maybe try to apply the new settings, exit the game and start it back up again? Might work.
