Help! Ahdarji's Heirloom

Hey guys, I have successfully stolen the ring back from the countess, but when I talk with Ahdarji, I can still only choose that I don't have it yet-- any ideas? I have tried it with the ring equipped and not, approached her at different times, locations-- nothing works! Help!

You don't have the correct ring.
You need to have spoken to the servant who accompanies her ladyship when she goes shopping (I don't remember their names), and have persuaded her to give you information about both the ring and secret access to the sleeping quarters. Talking to the beggars helps, too.
When you have all the info you can get, try again. You should then find the proper ring to give to Adharji.

Wow there's a secret way? I did it in the hall and just went from darkness to darkness,(shadows)
