Problem with damage

A simple question: I bought my new computer a few weeks ago and haven't got time to play Oblivion too much... Is it normal that it takes 50 or more hits to kill a single goblin?? My fingers are already tired of clicking, so please tell me that there's a way to solve this. I've the latest patch all official mods and expansions installed and many independent mods (between them the ones that are relevant for damage and health are: Francesco's Levelled Creatures and Items (including the two optional files for stronger enemies and bosses chance), SCA's Style Combat, Stealth Overhaul, Docile SI Creatures, Docile Creatures, PJ's Spell Compendium).

Another thing I noticed, again with goblins, is that they sometimes hit me and remain still waiting for me to kill them, they don't respond, and some of them hit me and pass through me running like hell, and just stay running... Does anyone has the same problem?

1. A mere goblin shouldn't take 50 hits, but a Goblin Warlord might take a while to kill depending on your level and how much damage you do (I'm pretty certain Goblin Warlords are leveled). This is probably obvious, but make sure that your weapons are fully repaired before entering combat. Drinking fatigue potions during combat helps too.

2. I'm sure that there are mods that will change the AI of your enemies. I can't name one off the top of my head though. You can also cast frenzy on them if you're having difficulty dealing with enemies fleeing from you.

As Kens_Mom said: I suspect a worn weapon is you main problem.

Also: What difficulty setting do you have on? You should have Normal. If you have it set higher, you may find difficulty killing critters.

Also: What strength is your character? Some races start at 30 STR, so will not strike very hard.
Are you using a weapon type he has in Major Skills, or Minor Skills?

Is he designed as a Fighter, a Mage, or a Stealth type?

But ordinary Goblins are a bit cowardly if badly hurt, and sometimes run away. So do rats, sometimes.
Another reason they may be running is that something worse than you is chasing them...

Where are you in the game?

Nope. Perfect condition steel longsword.

45 STR

Blade is one of my major skills and I'm an imperial, with focus on combat.

Again, as fighter.

I don't even touch them sometimes and they react in the same way. And there's nothing in the caves in wich I fight them, one of them being the very first one at the sewers.

Right now I'm heading to Kvatch to find Martin and I'm exploring the Mines of the Derelict near that city, I tell you it has been quite a finger happy adventure that mine. The other factor as Kens_Mom pointed out is fatigue (I played Morrowind so I know the mechanics of this game well), but I always wait until my fatigue is full again to hit (because I've time with those stupid goblins), and even so I still have to power hit them like 10 to 20 times to kill them... Is just ridiculous...

Then you really have a problem. Maybe a bug. Maybe just in THAT game, though. Sometimes happens that a persistent problem in one game does not appear in another.
Just as a matter of interest - for yourself - I suggest that you start a NEW game (as opposed to making a new character from the old at the point you saved just before exiting the starter sewer), and see if you get the same problem with it.

If you do... it might be related to any added Game-Mods you have installed. Try removing them, and then starting over, if a NEW game has the same problems as the current game.

I myself have NO Mods and NO patches. My game plays fine, apart from the odd crash and minor buggy behaviour (I save a lot, so I can go back to a previous save if something acts buggy).

I have the UK version.
