What does a freedom spell look like? and how can I make the lich visible? I've run in and out 5 or 6 times and eventually he follows me up the stairs but I still can't kill him. If I could kill him would my imprisioned players be free? Help - I've tried everything and its very frustrating.

I haven't fought that lich yet but you could buy freedom spells from the magic seller in Saradush, not that that will probably help you now. Freedom is a blue icon that looks like a circle with a line through it. I don't think your characters will come back unless you cast freedom. A good thing to do is have your character with the most magic resisitance go up to fight the lich or use many sommoned creatures because usually the AI will have the lich attack the nearest creatures. Too make him visible use true sight. This should get rid of any illusion spells. Hope that helps

It's a cheesy stratagy but, lay spike traps at the top of the stairs and get the demi-lich to follow you out. Put down like three or four of them if you're worried. Trust me, it'll kill him. There is also a glitch on the demi-lich there; it respawns. You can get his experience and items over and over if you want although, unless your a little under-levelled I don't think you'd need to.

This is another tried and true strategy, but kinda lame in a way. For this particular liche you can leave your party behind and face the liche alone. Crazy as it sounds, turn into the slayer and just beat the hell out of him. Oddly enough, your party at the top of the steps even shares the experience points with you. Cool huh.

Just so you know, Freedom is kind of an area of effect spell. It will bring back all NPCs that got Imprisoned in that area, so one scroll could bring back 5 people.
