Possible minor spoilers...
I found a scroll in my posession that I have never read . It is part of a journal by someone named Idras Tombelthen and mentions a cache hidden in a stone column in a copse of trees.... Any idea who this person is or (more importantly) where this cache is?

IIRC it is part of the ranger class quest and cannot be completed by any other class. The scroll is from the area with ruins where you find Mazzy - the cache is somewhere around there too I think but you will not be able to find it without the rest of the diary, which I don't think you can find unless you are a ranger.
