You can either use Shadow Keeper or CLUAConsole.

Shadow Keeper: Open your savegame and go to the Global section, look for nameRomanceActive; if it's 1 or 2 the romance is on, if 3 the romance is not.

CLUAConsole: With CLUAConsole active, run the game, press CTRL + SPACE and type in CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("nameRomanceActive","GLOBAL"), and press ENTER; result is the same as with Shadow Keeper.

Replace name with your romance's name: Aerie, Anomen, Jaheira or Viconia.

Curiously enough, I had heard that no romance dialogs would appear in chapters 4 and 5, and two previous run throughs of the game proved this to be true. I started another game to have a romance with Viconia, and got the "break-up" dialog just as I was about to go into Spellhold! I have TOB installed (mostly to get rid of the experience cap and so I can "erase" spells) and was wondering if that made the difference, or have others had "lovetalk" dialogues in Chapter 4.

My "lovetalk" with Viconia is also at 77, which also seems incredibly high since I had heard that Jaheira topped out at 71 in SOA. Be interesting to see what happens when Phaere propositions the character in Ust Natha, since she broke up with me

There is nothing in the scripts about no romance dialogues in chapters 4, 5 or 7. Although Jaheira's romance have this condition for part of it, since you have to be able to access the Harper base for it to continue. Other than that, all romance dialogues continues no matter what chapter you're in.

Also, Viconia's highest LoveTalk is 77, so there's nothing wrong with your game. If she's still in the party after the last dialogue, then the romance is considered as successfully completed: ViconiaRomanceActive is 2.
