I am playing through two games right now, a multiplayer one with a friend and one by myself. In the one by myself i screwed up the unseeing eye quest by saying i wouldn't join and killed everyone who came after me. Now after doing the quest the "correct" way with my friend i found one of the pieces to kangaxx there. Is there no way for me to assemble kangaxx now after screwing up the unseeing eye quest cause i really want to get that ring.

(Or if I go back there and search some bodies will I find the key that I was looking for?)

The two quests are completely unrelated. You need to get kill two liches to get Kangaxx's torso, head, and legs and then fight Kangaxx the Lich and then Kangaxx the Demi-lich. I think it's his arms and legs that are at the Unseeing Eye cult's HQ; his torso is in the Bridge District. Once you get all of the pieces, you take them back to his skull in the Docks District and the fun begins.

Once you cleared out the cult area, open the sarcophogus and the lich will appear.

I did the same thing, and you are stuck now because you can't open the door without the key. The key doesn't appear if you kill Gaul, only if he gives it to you. I used Shadowkeeper and just added "Gaul's Key". That way, you can open the door and fight the lich, and get the parts. You could also just use Shadowkeeper and add the lich parts and skip the fighting.

Or you could live with the consequences of your actions. Killing everyone you meet is not always the best solution to a quest, but cheating in the item you need when you blow the quest invalidates the whole game, IMHO.
