Hi guys, i'm sorry if this has been posted before but i have 1 major pet peeve with this game, great as it is. The problem is the fishing game. It is just so annoying, it must be one of the worst minigames i have ever played. So i was wondering if there was a knack to it, and do you just have to be lucky? thanks for the replies in advance.

well it was annoying me too. But either buy a new fishing rod cause once i found one and i was better and also you cant just immidatly press a on the first pull by the fish you have to wait till you think the line'll be a longer reel

There was a time when I couldn't fish a 3gram fish but thta was before he came into my life.. Yes Him............................... my freind collin, the trick is at the beggining let what your fishing pull as much as it wants then rapidly hit A when the meter stops, when it begins to pull you stop

The fishing comp is easyenought as there are some paces in the world that'll let you catch 20kg fish.... (i did)

Ya know what i hate those fish who pull and if you press a only once while its pulling the line snaps how do you prevent or perfect taht ps i know this had been answered but i cant find it and it has to do with this cause this has to do with fishing question

When the fish icon is grey or as what you mentioned, the fish is tugging on your line, you still can tap the left mouse button (PC), but make sure that you watch the condition of the line. If it turns red, stop. Otherwise, the line will break. Repeat this until you catch the fish.

The minigame rocks

The fishing minigame ROCKS! I love being able to take time out of a busy melee and just fish for a couple minutes. Angry balverines wait patiently as I cast my line and score a moonfish.
It's all in the timing:
1) cast;
2) wait for a fish to bite, take some line and then stop pulling;
3) rapidly press the left mouse button to reel him in. If he starts to tug back then stop clicking the left mouse button - otherwise your 'line' will turn red and eventually >!SNAP!<;
4) repeat until you're ready to continue battling balverines.

The button on my controller is broken now because of the dumb fishing game (that, and because I keep stacking my magic XP by casting Summon with a 25 combat multiplier)

u jus gotta be softer on ur taps. its easier on ur controller firt of all n second u can stop quicker when tha fich starts pulling again. plus i've found it to be quicker when ur light on tha finger

My first fishing experience wasn't pleasant either but SF (Streetfighter) really sure helped in the tapping of the button.Try the fishing where Archon Shrines at or I think its going to Necro not to sure....the fishes are tuff there. Oh and on another note 72kg Moonfish is my record so far.

The fishing game doesn't bother me much, aisde from the occasions where that fish rushes backwards when i was just about to catch it. Even when i get it, its still annoying.
