HELP!!! I can't enter shadow ruins!!!!

When I try to enter the shadow ruins via the shadow gate, the game crashes and I get the following message: Deep6: Max Boundareas Exceeded.
Please help me to solve this problem.

Hi Heissan,
I got that error once when I was running around on the rooftops in Fargrove...there is an "border" in the game and the character fell off into this nothingness outside the border and the game crashed.
However...this shouldn't happen in normal game play with an area that you are supposed to enter so I am wondering:
a.) you placed the shadow crystal in the altar outside the Shadow Ruins? I know this probably seems obvious, but you don't give any other information so I am guessing.
b.) if you are playing earlier versions of the game, have you patched your game? If you are playing the Collector's Edition, this doesn't apply, but if you have an early version of the game, you should patch it to the 1.4 patch. Regardless of this particular problem with the game crashing on you, the 1.4 patch will have the game running smoother.
