In terms of the storyline, that depends on where you've been beforehand.
In terms of levelling, the level cap is 50.

I suggest you search this forum using keywords related to your difficulty...royal palace, etc...and you'll likely find mention of it, and perhaps a solution to your problem.
It would also help if, in the future, you included something about your problem in the thread's title...for example, "Royal Palace Help Needed." That will more than likely produce the results you want more quickly and efficiently.

your level does not matter, at all, because enemies are scaled to your level. ifyou go there at level 3, the enemy will be at level 5, go there at level 20, the enemy will be something like 26. (I don't know the exact numbers)
I usually make use of regeneration with tough to kill enemies: you deal maximum damage that you can, when you're about to die, retreat and disengage, wait until regeneration got you back up, go back in, and deal some more damage. rinse and repeat.
it doesn't matter that they say you should hurry, because you can take all the tie in the world (thank god) at no point should you actually rush. points in the game that would be timed maybe, but I can't remember those.

Actually JFSOCC, I don't think that's how that works. On one of my games, I was down on level and strength and couldn't get past the outside of Freedon Nadd's Tomb.obi-reuban-deli, you are definitely down on levels because I am at the beginning of the Ruined Merchant Quarter and I am at level 25 or 26.

I did notice that if you have One member that you don't level up (I sometimes kept that as an instant health pack) the enemies seem easier.

MORE DAMAGE ON LOW HEALTH????!! COME ON AND WAKE UP!!!!!
I think marauder does, but nothing else....
And the big beast is easy as pie!!!! If you have say more than 35 def it wont hit you too often and if you have stun/kill/fear, or any level of those powers, just use them!!! The beast has so little saves, exept for fort, that you should succeed pretty well.

If you can't beat it how do you expect to beat Kavar?

Get close with stealth and set mines. If not get it engaged with a char or two and get one to run around setting mines then run over them with your party and it'll follow you and trigger the mines.

In terms of how far through the game you are:
You must be at least four-sevenths through to have reached that part. You might be as much as six-sevenths through.
In terms of experience, if you play the game 'normally' and do just about every side-quest there is, expect to end about Level 27/28. If you go out of your way to get Max XP, totally planning your game round it, you can reach 31 without any exploits.
In general the drexl larva hits hard, so ranged weapons are better than trying to whack it with a lightsaber. Force powers are best of all. Try using a stim that improves whatever attribute you are using to aim (STR for melee (unless you are using finesse), DEX for ranged).
And just before the battle, make sure your gloves, belt and implant are maximised for combat; no point having stuff that protects you from Force powers or energy or grenades or that increase your ability to defuse mines; the drexl isn't going to be doing you any damage but melee

Choose things that reduce melee damage or increase your attack or damage. If you're using a lightsaber, replace any blaster deflect crystals with ones that add to whatever damage you're doing.
And get a Jedi to heal you during the battle!

You mean Kreia right. I usually don't have any other Jedi with me other than her at that point of the game.
