i'm not sure if this has been polled before so here goes. 2 questions for the poll, and please keep a count.
1. what was your favorite romance in bg2/tob?
2. what romance would you have wished for, in any bg game?

1. arie, how can you now like her, that music, her voice and that dazzed and confused look she has in her portrait.
2. iomen, but not as a sister.

1. Viconia,Viconia and Viconia. Only one I have finished. I have given up on Jaheira and that little wingless woman just aint for me...

2. I would have liked a little more extreme romance in some way.. you are a god child and I thought it would be cool if you ended up with some lady to help you rule. But as far as the NPC in the game, I cant really think of anyone but the ones already possible.

Bodhi! How cool would that have been? Or how about romances between NPCs? Keldorn and Aerie could have had a little fling -some supplementary dialogue?

i wished for Skie, i like her portrait very much and bodhi would be cool too

Did Viconia and Jaheira, and had to keep using CLUAConsole to fix the Jaheira romance, so found that very annoying. Viconia is very cool, and great to have for all her comments in the underdark.

Wished: Any NON-Cleric type. What's with having all the romantics being Cleric types (including druids here). Need a Xena or Gabrielle to romance!

Definitely not Imoen. Too skinny.

i would have liked to have phaere from the underdark. help her take over as matron mother and live a life of pleasure by her side.

1. Torn between Jaheira and Viconia. And I can't stand Aerie, she reminds me too much of my ex.
2. Safana - who could resist that sound set? And Dynaheir was *nice*, too.

I guess this is a little off-topic, but I was reluctant to post a whole new topic on it, and someone mentioning Skie in the post reminded me. Anyone else kinda wonder what ever happened to Skie, Eldoth, Yeslick, Kagain, Shar Teel or Alora? I never ran into any news of these NPCs from BGI, did I just miss them in BG2, or are they just not there?

Um, what romance? We're talking about a few lines of fake dialog probably written by a 300-pound guy with a four day growth of beard(called Bubba by his fellow programmers) for some pixels. You want romance? Put up a screensaver, and go out there to meet human beings. You'll be thrilled at the originality and uniqueness of each one, the remarkable AI, the range of images, and the surprising tactileness of their responses once you get to know 'em.

Hey, don't be so severe It is only a game and I believe that for a game these romances are nice. I mean, each of us has ordinary human romance in RL, and probably nobody would choose a person like Jaheira, Viconia, Aerie and Anomen for real relations. That's why it is so funny to try such um... unusual love interests. If all of them are *real*, it'll be so boring...

Went out with aerie twice, and ended up finishing BG2 with jaheira. aerie was too short and I wanted some challenge for finishing bg2.

am seriously thinking about viccy after I finish tob, and reinstalling BG2. sound like a riot.

I think it's funny the whole obsession w/ Jaheira on this board. Is this support for the idea that people will always fall for the most difficult, dammaged, complex, conflicted possible mate?

Personally, I'm a little hot for Mazzy...sigh.

Actually, that sounds more like Viconia, IMHO.

Jaheira keeps a pretty constant personality throughout SoA, at least. She may work through some different emotional stages, but at the end she is still the same woman, who would do it all again exactly the same way. Viconia is the one that actually changes.

Vic definitely...not as short as Aerie's, not as buggy as Jaheira's, you get good items, and seeing her change is very satisfying...

I like the Jaheira romance myself. Vicionia was OK, but I was always making the meek responses

Aerie's romance is dull, but I haven't tried it with Haer'Dalis, which seems to me something you simply MUST do to fully appreciate it. A recent topic heading noting something that happens in ToB with the Aerie romance, has however, got me interested in trying it later.

Best romance not in the game? Imoen......if she wasn't you sister. Excellent, remmebered to add that last part......

1:I liked Viconia's romance best because you can help her learn about the upperworld and help her discover her true allignment.It has some great dialogs.

2:It would've been cool if every character could have had a romance.I found it very strange Nalia wasn't included since you almost marry her as a fighter.Imoen would've been cool and it sucks you can only romance as a human/elf/halfelf.They should've made mazzy romanceble for the little people
