I am stuck on the thieves guild misson Arrow of Extrication, now this may of been discussed already in the forum but in the walkthrough it says just sneak by the guards guarding the door to the north wing, but is it really that simple as their right infront of the door and plus you need to pick lock it. anyway just needed to no is it really that easy?:mischief:

Welcome to the forum. I know you looked at the walkthrough [url="http://www.gamebanshee.com/oblivion/walkthrough/arrowofextrication.php"]here[/url]. If that doesn't help try using the 'search' feature of this forum and you'll find tons of info to get you through.
The 'ease' of completing this quest will depend upon the ability of your character. So that question is tough to answer.

One thing to make this easier for you would be to get your sneak skill to 100. If you crouch and hit "Q" you character will walk around and sneak. It's kind of like an automatic move forward button. So what you can do is hit q when running into a wall near an npc. What this will do is cause your character to "sneak" and your skill will go up (provided your not seen). It's am easy way to get your skill up.

As I recall, if you're willing to spend some time doing recon, you can time your entrance to coincide with the changing of the guard, which makes it a little bit easier to sneak past them.

an item that really helped me in this quest was the Skeleton Key, you get it from the Shrine of Nocturnal after helpin her out, it should be in the Daedric Lord database if you need help finding it or what to do

As someone posted above, the skeleton key is very handy for this mission, also if you use an invisibility spell and sneak past the gurad and picklock the door, you'll only become visible again when you INSIDE, so quickly cast it again and just walk on by any gurad there as they won't see you. its really easy.
