Flash on active desktop?

I recently found this:
tube03

It made me wonder if something like that could be used as a wallpaper. Though when I scoured Google for a bit, all I could find were a couple of programs that had their own flash thingies to use. Yet this is a simple web page, tube03.html, so I don't really see the issue. It would certainly look neat.

Never heard of this thing before. Not sure if it's possible to do so, though. I might do some searching to see if it's possible. By the way, that flash animation is nice. :)

I know VideoLan's VLC movie player has a setting that lets you play movies on the desktop rather than a player. No idea why anyone would want that though, your icons and everything get in the way. But at least that example shows there is some amount of customizing possible.

Some editions of Windows Vista have a feature that allows you to use a clip as desktop background.

Oh, in that case I think I should add I'm an XP Home Edition user. that's the minimum package for Windows XP. Not sure if it matters though, I think Windows '98 had an active desktop too. Never used it.

This may work.
Save the file where you want it.

Right click (On the desktop)

Properties

Desktop (tab)

Customize Desktop

Web (tab)

New

Browse

Find the HTML and follow through from there.

EDIT: I just tried it. Don't save the file you need to link it directly to the web page. Iy might mess up your icons so be prepared to resort your short cuts if you have them sorted.

This is my desktop! Attractors

I'm not sure how that would work. You mean I'd need to remote link the flash page somehow?

Just copy the link and the computer will synchronize it for you.

Ah, I see it now. I had to fiddle with some settings to make it work. Nice. I wish kinda I could do something about those white borders on that site though.

Thanks! Maybe I'll try this again if I find something better.
