Chapel of Skorm quest ?

If this has been answered before, I apologize for the new thread.

Im having trouble getting anyone to follow me to the chapel of skorm, I have not yet made any sacrifices and am wondering why no one will follow. Ive tried everyone at Twinblades camp, random NPCs near the chapel zone etc.

Any help is appreciated, and again, sorry to there moderators if there are threads similar to this in explaining how to deal with my problem.

Hello and welcome to the forums, Keershi. :) As for your problem, try reloading the game to see whether if it solves the problem or not.

Thanks ! I know the games been out for a while, but I just got it yesterday and so far, its pretty cool. A nice change from the MMO's Ive been addicted to.

Anyway I'll give that a shot for sure. Is there any real benefit from doing the sacrifices though ? Other than the bow I keep seeing threads about, but what else ? I would assume that it would also increase your allignment in the favor of evil... Could be wrong though, my assumptions never got me too far lol.

Aside from Skorm's Bow, you will gain the title of Necromancer (sacrifice more people and you'll get this title). As for your third question, yes, it will, provided that you sacrifice a lot of people. Good mercenaries bring in the most amount of evil points (especially when sacrificed at midnight).

P.S. You're welcome. :)

The game really likes the merc form Twunblades camp and the one in Oakvail. Take the at midnight and do it three times to get the bow. Then kill the guys in the chapel for some good points.

I know this sounds silly, but whens midnight?...It is right in the middle of the night...Im not sure anymore because the NPC sacrificer person says its of little use to them. I also have used the mercinaries from Oakvale and Twinblades camp. I would use the elite bandits at the camp but I dont think it will let me because of the lost traders quest that puts up a big road block before the camp entrance.

People at dark wood villlage work just as good but if u can get one of your wifes/husband there u get the bow just as you sacrifice her/him.

Midnight is indeed when the arrow points to the middle of the night-half of the time wheel. If it is little use to them...you may not be good enough to get the full effect; i.e., you are already too "Evil."

no no no midnight in the game works like a real life clock, where the PM is the night side and the AM is the day side of the clock. midnight is right on the line right after the night portion on the clock. u have to get it perfectly on time and then u get the bow. it works really well with the mercs because they get payed every hour and u can use that in ur judgement

Fable God has it right; G-Sus has it wrong. Dawn and dusk divide the night side of the wheel from the day side. Midnight is in the middle of the night side.

But the good thing is, you can get rewards much more easily at the Temple of Avo if you're very evil. ;) Seems like you'll get rewards much faster if your alignment is opposite of either the Chapel of Skorm or the Temple of Avo. I don't really like this system if you ask me.

To get the bow it helps if you are of a good alignment as Skorm loves to corrupt the soul of a good hero.
The best peeps to get to follow you are the mercs (npcs will not really follow you if you are evil). Head to the Chapel of Skorm then teleport to where teh mercs are, hire one then repeat (you are only allowed 2 at a time). Hang around until you hear the ghostly guard voice saying "lights out you lazy lot" or something along those lines, which is around midnight, then offer up one of your followers.
The the timing can take a few tries as it can be just on or after hearing the guard. If you get it right then you may get the bow first time, if not then just keep trying, but bear in mind for every soul offered you will get evil points.

Just a note of caution, though. I recall hearing from people here that if you're playing the original Fable, you have got to be careful with the timing of the sacrifice as these mercenaries will not respawn after they're sacrificed. Only in the TLC version will they respawn.

i never managed to get the bow

i had this account once, and he kept on sacrificing ppl and then i realized that i had to sacrifice a lot of ppl at once, so i went to get the maximum of ppl in oakvale(i think its 5) and sacrificed them all. didnt get the bow. i sacrificed both good mercenaries at the same time. didnt get the bow. i swear i killed like 1000 ppl and still didnt get the bow. is this a glitch or what? btw the account started out as pretty good, but became evil due to the sacrificing. the evil guys always said the same stuff, that they were insufficient or somthing and they gave me a lot of evil points at first, but later on a mere +1. when youre super-evil no-one trusts you and follows you, and if you accidentally attack one of your 'followers' they all stop following.

you can still get bandits to follow you from twinblades camp if you are evil. btu to get tha bow it has to be at midnight (which i still hold to be the line dividing night and day on the clock)

so now im trying it again...

im wondering, does the quality or the quantity of your sacrifices count?
i find myself sacrificing ppl and i find that the first sacrifice is never sufficient and always 'of little use'
ive sacrificed 5 ppl at the same time and the last one gave me 225 or so.
ive also sacrificed just one merc and it was also 'of little use'
so mercs dont work better i guess
if the quantity works, then im going to check that out: ive got about 15 bloodbags standing in that temple :D

finally ive got the bow

i sacrificed a girl who was in love with me(i could propose to her) around midnight(and i was still fully good) and got 1000 evil points and the bow! i was also younger(my hair isnt gray anymore...yay!) and named necromancer. and i sacrificed all the other people i brought to tha chapel of skorm(about 25 people!!!) and i was slightly evil(could do the first two evil expressions).
