hello all some of you have probaly seen some of my post already, and as i am fairly new to game still figured u guys may know where i could find a good weapon for dual weild primary hand . i have a katana of the sun which is awesome for it, but was hoping blade of death would work, it wont, and as i have ce and they took out chest in final area i cant get the demonblades it looks like.i still have to do the druid temple, and im hoping for an awesome weapon there. also from what i seen so far only sword types can be used in dual weild primary, not sure on this thou, does anyone know for sure?im trying not to use any patching also on any of my guys currently. while it may be the only way to get some weapons now, trying to keep true to the current content of the game.

so first question is know of any heavy weapon in ce that can be dual weild? and if so where did yah find them and what are there names?

second question i will find out when i do all my artifact turn ins, but was wondering can u get your stats over 100my int is currently at 91 and have only turned in 1 artifact, decided i better stop incase i bugged game with getting over 100 on a stat.

thanks for any help or input

To the best of my knowledge..

The ONLY HEAVY weapons you can use in your primary hand and still use a light weapon in your off hand are the No-Dachi's.

The good one (winter version) is only available near the end of the game at the Maze. (dido for the winter katana).

I believe you can use any medium (one handed) weapon in your primary hand.

The Hammer of Tohromir would likely be better than the Katana of the Sun, but it would look lame.

I don't remember where it is..

And yes - the attributes continue to scale.. In Fact..

If you really wanted a high attribute in one category (say strength), then you could have made a deal with the demon in the tomb (and then kill it afterwards for the points). Though my last character (human female) ended in the upper 50's in level - she had a 100 in everything but strength (by design) - which was over 120, and honor - which was over 50.

thanks

thanks for the info was hoping to get it before the maze as i like going straight thru game and not sitting and lvling and once yah hit maze u are in final stages of the game.

as far as no dachis being only weapon u can use dual weilding i can use barbtongue blade and barbtongue darkblade also. but with less damage output not worth it.

knowing i can get my stats over 100 will help especially in future run thrus.

again ty for info

greatswords

i found a chest that drops a lot of greatsword in druid temple , up stairs behind secret wall that open when u open chest that drop gold key.

greatsword can be dual weild also, have slightly less damage then katana of sun, but have better special effects.

i did the save and reload method on the chest about 10 times, got 2 emerald greatsword 1 saphire greatsword and on last try got diamond light great sword. i stop there with rune strike and 35% stun it is easily as good as katana damage wise and has stun effect.

still want more damage in primary but it is a start, hope to find more later.

ty again for info on the no dachi, i will be keeping my eye open for them also, as they look like best sword without going into the final sequence.

have fun

I was able to dual wield with the barbtongue runeblade, and also with another heavy weapon the name of which escapes me...in addition to the no-dachis. The no-dachis are really nice weapons. The No-Dachi of Night is really cool:

No-Dachi of Night
Special: Critical Strike 5%, Paralyze 35%
Skill: Heavy Weapons
Damage: 7 - 31
Range: 6' 0"
Strike Bonus: +3
Strength Req: 35

You can get a regular no-dachi at the House of the Tiger in Arindale...(guild members)

Here is an old character that I was playing around with. I edited in the No-Dachi of Night and the Demonic Katana. She sliced and diced through the slums... :p

no dachi in the slums

looks nasty.

i havent used game editor yet, trying to keep true to current form of game. but i will break down sooner or later.

i did valkyrie quest first and had my heavy pole skill up to lvl to use it with in first set of mobs in slums. using winged destroyer even with out magic weaponry i waxed the slums and masion. having your combo then would of been just plain sick. nothing would of stood a chance.

keep having fun

As far as 100 stats I have read posts about the strike bug when your strike gets above 100 it wraps around to 1. Perhaps this was fixed in patches and CE??

Anyhow I'd be cautioius about raising dex too high.

Yep, very true. I played through 90 % of the game with a couple of different characters before ever touching the editor. Moderation is the key with using the editor IMO. :)

I don't think it has been. I remember reading that somebody with the CE encountered the strike bug...but for the life of me can't remember where. But I expect there will be others who will not have encountered the strike bug at all, so... *shrug*
The highest I have raised dexterity to is about 85...and the character seems to do just fine with that. Just my own experience.

strike bug

i havent had any problems with strike bug, and have 121 strike now. i also have latest version of dl ce also, so may have been 1 of the things they fixed.

only stat i have over 100 thou is int and it looks like u get the int bonus on skills still with it. not sure how it effects the spells but as im playing a tank atm no worries.
