Redoran Council/add topic problem

I may have made a major blunder. I went to the Caldera mines before joining a house. I freed a couple of slaves in their shacks and left. Later, I joined House Redoran. As anyone knows, you must complete tasks to become a council-person. I can't get the last councilman to sign off on my char. because the he thinks the situ is still unresolved. I have the secret mining ledger but the topic isn't there to discuss. I tried to add topic via command console but it seems to want a number to go with it???? I tried MANY different things including killing the mining bosses and freeing every slave in the mine to no avail (not saving those killings, of course!). I have to have Galrisa Llarethi's support to go forward in the mission or get myself canned and start over with a different House. HELP!!! I just want to move forward!:speech:

Huzzah!
 Thank you so much, Enchantra! The link gave me the basis to solve the mystery. There was a player further down that said he tried the link but it failed him. So, having fixed journal quest issues before with this site's walkthrus, I had a little headsup about making the "solution" work for me. The second guy was right that it didn't work for him but he didn't tweak it. For the future player who encounters this problem the EXACT way that you input the fix is thus:
journal "HR_CalderCorrupt"100
Use the space bar after journal and no space after the quotation for adding the 100. (no period)
So perseverence pays off!

So does using search, which would have saved you waiting for an answer.

And since the site owner doesn't want duplicative threads in the database, this one is closed. It'll be removed in 48 hours.
