Knocking up Aerie (SPOILER)

- "Probably because I have several hundred threads to look at every time I visit this board." - Fable, in missing out on a spoiler tag.
Anyway, I found his line because I tried to find an answer to a rather simple question. For the sake of keeping my thread original among the one hundred threads Fable has to read every time, I took the liberty of applying slightly more colourful language in the thread title. I hope the wording isn't considered offensive.
Most question that revolve around the Aerie romance detail birth, marriage, etc. I'm still in SToA though, and I like to know whether or not her pregnancy is the direct result of sleeping with her at the end of SToA. I read in a detailed guide that you can still get some romance points for sleeping with her. So while keeping your zipper closed is the politically correct ending, I figured sleeping with her doesn't necesarily have to be the bad ending either.
Aerie: ...my heart clenches at the thought, but we must stop ourselves from going down this path, etc.
Option 2. If that's what you want, there is nothing I can do.
AERIE: Oh, please don't be sad, <CHARNAME>. I shall remain with you and fight by your side... this quest of yours is too important for me not to help you with it. Once it's over, I'll find my own way in the world for a while. And... and then perhaps one day we will meet again. And then we'll talk. But, come...a new day awaits us, <CHARNAME>. Let us...let us see what it holds. (AerieRomanceActive=2)
So, does she get pregnant in SToA or ToB? I'm closing in on the final SToA romance dialogues now, I don't want to screw this up. (Edit: unintentional pun, of course I want to sc- never mind)

Hmmm, I always did sleep with her, but there was only one opportunity in SoA - in the Ust Natha tavern. And I accepted her offer to spend the night with her. Because, I don't know what the 'game logic' is, but if I don't sleep with someone like Aerie in a real situation like that, I'd probably have a rejected and insulted woman after that by my side, meaning no romance IMO. But after you slept with her she asks for "time" and then, in the beginning of ToB, she says "give me more time", and, if you're patient enough, soon after that she'll crawl to you and ask you to spend all of the nights with her.

Ah, well that's what I was looking for. Thanks for clearing this up.

What does "she'll crawl up to you" mean?

I think it means something along the line of "begs". Or maybe it's literal.

Meaning "she'll crawl back to you on her four paws and she will ask to sleep with you".

When I played a paladin, she jumped into bed with me without even giving me the option of refusal. As I was roleplaying and trying to keep in character, I found that quite irksome.

Getting Aerie pregnant
does Aerie have to remain a permanent member of your team in SOA for her to get knocked up in TOB?
I'm asking cause I want to do Viconia too.
thx

If you dump your romance, it's over. There are mods to have several at the same time, IIRC.

I know for a fact that G3's BG2 Tweaks mod has optional content that alters the game's engine to allow multiple romances, same-sex romances, indestructible romances and a bit more. I don't have it installed myself because of my certain sense of honor, but it's there for people that don't want to have to choose between Jaheira and Viconia, or whatever.

For the romance, your not supposed to sleep with Aerie in SoA, so it makes no difference. Spoiler here-
You are supposed to sleep with her at the begining of ToB, then she tells you that she has a bun in the oven after meeting Balthazar.

Technically, the romance can still survive even if you slept with Aerie in SoA as long as you play your cards right. I know this from experience...
...The first time I beat this game, I was about 13 years old and I must have thought Aerie was the cutest or something (way different opinion than now, but I'll leave it at that). Aerie had the "show you my body" conversation with me in my Thieves stronghold in the docks during Chapter 3, and I (being 13 years old) accepted her offer only to find out that she felt used in the morning.
From that point on I noticed no real change in her demeanor despite reading many pages on the intarwebz. Events still happened as if she was an active romance, and a certain scene near the end of SoA gave me the option "Aerie, I..."...which is generally reserved for romantic partners.
And then everything unfolded as it should in ToB. I don't know why the romance didn't end after I slept with her. I had no mods installed, and I never used the console or Shadowkeeper.
Perhaps it survived because of the battle I went through with Haer'Dalis to win her heart. I played it perfectly and HD gracefully bowed out and offered to sing at our wedding. I don't know. My long-winded point is that sleeping with her may not always break the romance.
Sorry for this rant, but I'm bored right now.

I have Aerie in my party alot, and even though I like Haer'Dilas as a character I don't take him if I have Aerie because it really urks me that she falls for all that shameless flattery that Haery throws her way and it makes me realize that she is just a poor lost little woman with zero self estime thats going to fall for the first guy that shows her any kind of decent attention. It makes me wonder if she really even loves the PC as much as she just thinks she does. Anyway that swhy Haer'Dilas is usually hanging around in the theater working the unsatisfied noblewoman and not in my party.
Not to mention that the idiot tries to steal Amber right out from under your nose as well, good thing she can't stand him.

I only got about three dialogs in with Haery and Amber because he was already laying it on thick with Aerie and I was going to ditch Aeries's Romance for Amber's anyway and just wanted to see the crossbanter between them. I was worried about screwing up the Amber romance if I played the whole Haery/Aerie thing out to keep Aerie who was esencial to my party. So I sent Haer'Dilas packing early but Amber sees right through Haer's BS and cuts him off at the turn everytime ............ she only had eyes for me!
