this dont work, HELP

i was told that during the training at the guild, when u see mage for the last bit of training, that u shoot him with your bow from a distance during the time when your supposed to hit him with the sword and u wont be punished, plus you get massive amounts of exp in a short while, it worked for him and his friend, why not for me?
pleazzz help!

Maybe your friends were joking. Maybe they were playing a different version of the game. Maybe they were playing on a different platform than you. There are lots of possibilities here, but it doesn't matter. There are lots of ways to gain experience in this game, and if one trick doesn't work, another one will.
But anyway, I'm going to treat this as yet another made-up rumor about the game, and close this thread.
