assassin flanking death attack

I know that the paralyze ability of death attack only works if you are attacking someone out of combat. Thats not my question.

My question is if an assassin gets his XD6 damage applied to targets he is flanking like a rogue does? I am making a Ranger6Assassin9Duelist5 but it could be pretty useless if I have no flanking sneak attack.

I have played through an area and I see my parties rogue doing sneak attack damage, but my assassin is having no 'sneak attack' or 'death attack' appear and he is only doing small change damage.

Its hard to tell if 1d6 extra damage is there. But I don't want to play 3 more levels to see when it gets more noticeable.

Thanks

Well, it certainly should. It may be giving you the damage but simply not showing it on the screen. :( There have been a few cases where stats don't "show up" on screen but are still calculated.

I have not heard of this one before, maybe some who has can chime in.

I didn't see it on the screen but I have looked at the bioware builders guild and many of there builds have several levels of Assassin (usually 8 for Hide in Plain Sight HIPS).

So I imagine it does work. Maybe I just couldn't see the damage but you'd think I would even with one level Death attack because I was a 10 str char wielding daggers haha.

Now I have a much stronger character that is more suited to the game.
