I started a dwarven fighter/cleric who has sum awesum stats but was wundering...what classes make for a most enjoyable adventure? I don't wanna play the dwarf if i'll fine him sucky and then just start a new one again...recomendations??

Are you planning on only using one character?

I prefer somewhat odd characters, like my Halfling Paladin (Morgan the Small One). The same party also featured a Dwarven Druid (forgotten his name) and a Gnomish Fighter/Illusionist (Jesper the Jester).

In general, I recommend a full party where all characters have interesting and detailed backgrounds. Put some thinking into it before the party takes off.

welp...i hadn't decided if solo or full party....what is more fun? this is my first time through and i just want to get the most outa the game and have an enjoyable adventure. I played my fght/thf/mg for about 15-20 hrs and found no one to join me :(

a mage sounds fun but man is he weak in the start...and without anyone joining for awhile into the game it could get old fast...

IMO, full party's more fun. You get to try out a range of effects against monsters, and watch the way your characters' abilities interact.

@FudD.
You found no one to join you. You do meen NPC's? Well, there aren't any in IWD, you just make your own party, that's it!
Anyway i'm going through the game again, this time with a party of 4, a fighter, a druid, a thief and a mage(illusionist),and i can say that it's pretty fun.

:D :D :D (ROFL - counting on you taking no offense). As Onyx pointed out, you are supposed to create the whole party yourself (contrary to the BG series). I just can't imagine all the troubles you must have had. Or maybe I can and that's what makes it so funny...

A full party is much more fun IMO. And to solo with a Mage must be very hard indeed.
