Inspired by comments in other threads, I decided it is truly time for a bar thread with a twist..or two... or three
So welcome to "The First Annual SYM Summer Slumber Party."
One proviso though, "BYOT," or "Bring Your Own Teddy"
This is the place where you can show up in your favourite evening garments to lounge by the pool and BBQ or to nibble munchies while flaked out on a couch watching M.A.S.H reruns.
If we really get organised, we might even be able to arrange some rousing games of "I Spy" and "Trivial Pursuit," all to the rousing background chorus of the Beach Boys..
Oh, and drinks have a summer theme to them... lots of tropical flavours. However, there's real fruit juice and fruit, none of that powdered. mixed stuff you can buy. For those who still wish to drink the more standard beverages, beers, wines, and spirits line the entire length of the poolside bar.
So, with no further ado, slip into your most flattering nightware, grab your teddy and come on down

Is it just me... or does that sound totally corrupt?
I mean, I know it's a reference, but still

Well....it
is summer... and plenty of people sleep in the buff, so I take that as a given
About that spare Teddy I offered to lend you... the offer still stands

Would it help if I told you Wonkers is a purple teddy bear (
technically, a gorilla, but I digress...)
Still, it could be
worse

Purple eh? I suppose it is less alarming than a purple dinosaur...
Er...I don't think Teddy Ruxpin would have a good time in the pool somehow

I did say
spare teddy.. What else did you think was in the package beneath the drinks counter?

Good night Eer!
Hmm... perhaps I should follow Eer's example and go to bed *takes a look to watch*
3.26 A.M?!
*Quickly buys of Vodka-sprite-apple juice drinks, then before drinking those orders two adjutants to carry himself home after passing out*
Cheers!
*passes out, adjutants carry him away*

I have a bad feeling about this, something along the lines of Friday the 13th.
Maybe Deliverance as well............

I'm bringing my athame, just in case.
Of course, that could get embarassing in my shorts.
Not that kind of shorts. Shorts, not underwear.
Gods, what filthy minds you all have.

**walks in holding a
Banjo and a
herbarette**
Looks like the Party is suspended for the day...
Well, who cares, I need some sleep anyway.
**Grabs a Bottle of JD from Eerhardts dangling hand, downs it and slowly falls over like a felled tree**
<<insert humorous noise from the Banjo here>>

I suspect that "shorts" is actually just a euphemism for "loincloth"
Maybe, in his munificence, he was trying to spare us those particular visuals

That pool is looking awfully inviting.. *plunges in*

Well... I s'pose I could say much the same in a certain sense.
However, given all the pervs around here, I'll say instead that boxers are actually pretty comfortable paired with a tank top, both for sleeping and swimming.
I've heard that.. I was watching a US News station the other night, and saw the reports of the heatwave sweeping the US West and probably some other regions too. We are catching the tail end of it. Honestly, how do you guys do it living in that heat almost constantly over the summers? I think I'd be likely to curl up in a corner somewhere and just melt.
Normally, a hot day in the summer here is around 30 degrees C.... 37 is practically unheard of..
@Kipi,
lol!

33 degrees here today....whew...
daughter walked through the house last night and commented on how me and the son-in-law were playing Xbox in our boxers and tees with ceiling fans and floor fans running full tilt boogie...
Guess we are the pervs....LOL
Down here the humidity makes it feel even hotter....liquid air...yucky
