Lv 1 exploits and tricks (SPOILER!)

Well i was wondering.... As a Lv 1 character you are pretty useless at almost everything, have no money and no items worth mentioning. So i decided to made a collection of little quests, tricks, cheap tactics and exploits that can be used to achive items / gold that SHOULD be out of reach for a while.

My contributions.

Vivec redoran bust.

Equiptment needed.
Open 50pts
Mark, Recall, Alimsivi intervention (best if scrolls)
Thieves guild mebership

Process.

Part 1
Place a mark in a thieves guild
Go to the manor in the redoran canton in vivec.
In the top of the manor in the chest of drawers the is a key
Steal it and use Alimsivi intervention. (no crime will be reported but the entire house hold will attack you and kill you)

Part 2
Go to the redoran vaults and go to the lower cell.
Open the door with the key you just stole
Wait in lots of 1 or 2 hours for the guards to all leave the room (door needs to be open)
Rob the place blind, stock up on a weapon and armour

Part 3
Fill in the rest of you armour with the best that you can buy.
Go back to the vaults and SAVE!
In the upper vault area the will be an offical standing around.
wait until there are no guards around.
Kill him (preferably after taunting him but al Lv1 you will have useless speechcraft), quickly take his key from his corpse and recall out.
Pay off the fine at the Thieves Guild

Part 4
Return to the upper vault and open the door with the key.
Wait until the guards are gone.
Rob this one blind as well.
Go to creeper.

This is possible but you need a lot of luck and a combat oriented character

Why do guards leave the vaults? I seem to remember being in a similar situation but physically waiting for people to leave so I could steal an Indoril helm.

Not the cell but the area behind the door. they patrol and iff the door is open they will wlak out allowing you to close it and steal in peace.

I use a site along with GB to help with a walkthrough they have a strategy similar to this called the Creep Train strategy.

If I wanted to become uber rich and powerful in the begining of the game...I would have used this.

Are you sure?

I just clicked through without any problem. Basically, it just tells you to steal anything not nailed down and then sell it to Creeper.

I actually think it would be a second character strategy as my first was good to just level up normallyand gain the experience of the game. When I play again, I think I would be too frustrated to be at level one-ten again haha so I would probably use it then.

Fair enough. Though, personally, in that sort of a situation I'm more inclined to use the Rings of Level Playing mod ;)

More on topic though, there's always the restocking chests in the Mage's and Fighter's guilds... A lot of their contents can be sold to Creeper for 100% profit, if that is your desire.
I don't really like to use exploits such as this, because I find the game can be easy enough as it is. However, if you are playing for the umpteenth time and want to skip the preliminaries as soon as possible, I can see the logic.

At the beginning of the game do fargoths hiding place, SPOILER------lets say u have exactly 300 gold by stealing the gold platter, and the book in the light house and selling them when you go to give the man fargoths money which is 300... DONT DO IT....instead leave the money that you find it in the hiding place go up to the quest guy he wall take 300 gold of yours.... then give 100 back.... so u had 300 gold so 300-300=0+100=100 gold now go to fargoths hiding place and take the 300 gold out.... you have 400 gold now 100 gold more then what u had... hope for all new players this helps a little :D :D :D

or instead of loosing no money just take the 300 gold and don't finish the quest

Good hint or you could take the 300 and not give any back? Besides, the limeware platter is best sold to creeper.

i suggest join to mages and fighters guild, take all the items in the supply chests at both guilds in balmora, vivec, sardith mora (spelling)? Aid ruhn, and i think theres one in Were the creeper is (caladrea,)(Spelling?)

After you have completed your trips pay a vist to the creeper and sell him all the items you got from the 9 chests. :) :D :) :D

If you head to Aid Ruhn and raid the guard towers and take all the bonemold armor then sell at the creeper thats, around 6k right there. Im not good at handeling my money and the most amount of money i have ever had was about 60k. Everything that has posted on this thread has helped me a gain more money :) . I found raiding tombs and caves to be boaring and only come back with a tiny amount of good selling items, So i always stick with stealing, like from the vivec vaults, and i always try a different way on how to do it. Well hopefully what i said would help :)
