I finished BG 1 and loved it so much I ran out and got Icewind Dale. I can't import my chacters. It gives me an Assertion failed in ObjCreature.cpp. Is this a common problem and is there a work around? I'll be sick if I can't continue with my old party.

Ohh also Im running win2000

You cannot put BG characters into IWD. It is simply not possible.

Technically true, yet you can create the same character (except kits) with IWD, carrying on the saga, remember however to consider your party carefully, you need a well balanced and strong party...
