Monks and "Improved Evasion"

Weird thing happened in my game. I leveled up my monk, but he was given the option to take "Imporved Evasion" as a feat.

I did not choose this, but noticed in the dialogue screen that my Monk has gained the ability "Improved Evasion" (he's level 12 now).

Does my monk really have this feat, as he's supposed to, for free? Or do I need to choose it next time I'm able? Will taking the feat now give me any added bonuses?

That's exactly my point. I should get it without choosing it, and according to the feedback screen, I DO have it.

But the same thing goes for Deflect Missiles, and that feat is blocked out of the ones I can choose.

Check next time you are given the option of taking a feat. It should be greyed out.

When I levelled up again, it was already checked off. It must've been a tiny bug or something. No big deal.

If I understand correctly when you get the feat you cannot select it again at next level. This is because you cannot have the same feat twice.

If you took say deflect arrow at creation with a monk it would be a waste because you cannot get it twice. So you get it free but you already have it adn it doesn't matter.
