I was having trouble Loading previously made Saves. I went to Bethesda and downloaded a Patch for Oblivion which worked as long as I was in Oblivion. I bought Shivering Isles and incorporated it with Oblivion. I tried to load the Shivering Isles patch but it refused telling me :
Patch Error "Old file not found. Howecer a file with the same name was found. No update since the contents did not match." It then returned my to my Desktop. Is there some magic in loading these Patches? When I first had this problem I uninstalled and reinstalled Oblivion. Shivering Isles does not show up under "Add/Remove" programs listings. I need to have my Shivering Isle Saves permit loading. They just bounce me out of Oblivion to my Desktop screen. Any thoughts on how to make the Shivering Isles Patch accept my Install. I use the Windows XP version, I have plenty of memory and harddisk space.

Not sure, but that message sometimes pops up if you accidently download wrong language version of the patch.

Also could be that you have the Direct2Drive version of the game which doesn't use the same patch that the DVD version uses. If you have the D2D version then you have to go to D2D website to download a patch specially for that version.
