Extra line or two in signatures?

I'm just wondering if there is any chance we could be allowed an extra line or two (not characters, but lines) in our signatures?
I was messing around with mine this evening and I had to put the two lines I have there directly beneath one another for it to work... if I tried to leave a space I received a message telling me I had too many lines. And the two sentiments don't exactly complement one another, lol!
Anyway, not a huge deal if it's not possible, I do indeed understand why the spacial length of signatures is limited

I agree with DW here. Yes, it's good that the signatures are regulated here, as I've been posting on forums where there is no limits of the size of your sig, and even pictures are allowed. It's kinda irritating to read a forum where half of the screen is filled by signatures much longer than the actual posts.
Though, I think a line more wouldn't hurt. And does my memory fail me, or weren't it supposed to be three lines long already? I have noticed this earlier, as I tried to make a signature some time back, and even though the preview showed it correctly, the actual saving gave me an error of too long signature. This happened when I used some codes in it, especially url code.

Thing is, when I was playing with the signature options earlier, I got a message saying my sig couldn't exceed three lines..
I'm not sure how that is calculated though... bear in mind that since I don't like a huge, glaring signature I do use the minimum font size. That means once it is formatted (see my sig below) it actually just looks like two lines. However, in reality, it may be more than that, I've no idea really.

I've went ahead and increased the number of signature lines from 3 to 4 (and increased the character limit appropriately). However, please keep in mind that the signature limits were imposed due to popular demand. If I find that more users are against this change rather than supporting it, I may end up changing it back.

Thank you Buck!
And of course, if most think that the change was bas, it's understandable that you change it back...

Thank you Buck!
And clearly, if the majority want to revert back to the previous limit I totally understand.

Maybe there is no majority in this. I'm fine with it either way.

Hmm... I just tried inserting a single space between the two lines in my signature so that they don't rest on top of one another and I still received the following message... This is the same message I was getting last night.
I also tried removing some of the coding, but it didn't make a difference.
I suspect I'm doing something wrong though, I just haven't figured out what it is
The following errors occurred when this message was submitted:
1. Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 3 line(s).
EDIT:
Just tried something different.. I think the "center" code I was using may have been causing a problem?
The same thing occurs if I try to right indent. I can right indent, but only without the space between the two lines.
