wierd werewolf glitch--HELP

I have run into a brick wall. This is my 4th time through Firkraag's lair, and I've never seen this before. In the hallway that runs between where you first meet Samia and the well, there are three greater werewolves. For some reason this game they seem to be regenerating at an absolutely godlike rate. I am laying into them with LOTS of damage really fast, but the best I can get to is "injured". I they go back to "uninjured" in less than one or two seconds.

One thing, I decided not to do King Strohm's tomb this time and just fought Semia and her gang in the hallway right after you meet her. Does this have anything to do with it? Do I need King Strohm's mask or anything like that to get past?

If it turns out that no-one knows how to deal with this, can someone tell me what the CLUA command is that automatically kills any selected enemy? I may have to resort to this if I can't work out the werewolf issue.

Hazim, there are other threads that have talked about this, though I have never encountered this myself. Frankly, I never had any problems with those werewolves, but they never seemed to be regenerating so quickly for me. Wish I could help more. Might want to search other topics for answers if nobody replies soon.

I'm sure you've tried all strategies I could give, but others have said to concentrate all attacks on one at a time and you virtually need to kill the beast in one round. Can you draw out one at a time?

I know what you are talking about I've come accrossed the same problem. I've gone threw the game 4 times now and twice I have gone to firkraag's lair and said I would help samei(you know) when I do help her and she doese her whole routine the greater wolfwere's are not regenerating like gods they are easy kills. If I just beat her doen right away however the wolfwere's are terribly tough. To tell ya the truth I don't know how to kill them. When this problem arises I just reload till I kill them and trust me its a lot of reloading. Just summon a bunch and fight till it dies.

How 'bout a trigger of 3 greater malisons followed by a death spell? Like I said, I've never encountered them and don't know what you've already tried.

I did encounter those Greater Wolfwere in my first way through the game, in my second I didn't; seems to be dependent on your partys level. What I did was to cast 15 Skulltraps and trigger the Wolfwheres with a cloudkill; I used Nalia for this. That killed all of them, and there were about 5 Traps left, so I had to use a summoned creature to get rid of them.
The other Greater Wolfwere (the one that tries to ambush you) is not affected and can be killed normally.

Good Luck!

There is evidence of following facts:
1) greater wolfweres (the single ones do not causes any great problem) appear in this dungeon only if you have party with level high enough;
2) the can be killed if an amount of damage per time unit is high enough (higher as their regenerating rate);
As far i know, the following things can help:
- several simultaneous cloudkills or, better, death fog(s) cast out of sight and then doors closed;
- two or more good swords with improved haste (might be done by potion), blessed, chanted and anything more you can imagine on them in company with fire elementals; even better if swordsman is protected against magical weapon (wolfwere attacks is counted as such);
- all sorts of poison helps, too, to neutralize or slow the regeneration;
- lower their resistance if you can;
- holding and slowing is reported to help; however i never have success in putting such spell on them;

Keep in mind they are immune to non-magical weapon, or so i believe. I suspect even +1 weapon have a little if any damage to them.

The last but not least : what if you clean the cache before going into the area containing the dungeon. Image

L.

PS I'm almost sure the wolfweres instead of werewolves are to blame here. The last are more easy to deal with, while the first always cause big problems, even greater as beholders or mind flyers. Those are not regenerating, at least.

@Felix: The same thing happend to me. First time through there was the GW, second time not.

Before i went through that hallway, i set up dragon-killer party (elementals, prot., ...) but when the fight started, there were just three "normal" wolfweres, - very dissapointing ... Image

@Hazim: there are 3 GWWs at your game ?

Yes, three. I'm at a pretty high level right now. I saved Windspear til the very last before going to the asylum this time, and I only have three party members. That may be part of the trigger. At any rate, I ended up just dragging them out one at a time into traps my thief set. Not an elegant solution, and one that required lots of resting. But, hey, it did the job.

Thanks all.
