Welkom to the club

Yes it is. Both BG1 and 2 use the 2nd version of DnD (or something like that). Nwn uses the 3rd version of these rules. Basicly you roll a D20, you add plusses from weapon profincies, and weapons and add the enemy AC. If this equals (or is greater then) your thaco (To Hit AC 0). If you roll a 20 you get a critical hit which hits automatic and does double damage (unless wearing a helmet). Rolling a 1 is an automatic miss and you lose the next round or something to hit.

And where in the hell do i see my ab, and how is it supposed to be used(in nwn and kotor it was defenders ac- your ab+1d20)?
Looks like Thaco, see the previous thing I wrote. Sorry if it is still a little fuzzy.

Well you can improve your stats through some tomes you find. With this you can improve above the maximum for creation (you don't get extra stats at leveling up).
If you import your character in BG2 you can still choose to continue as a kit rather then with a plain character (but only when playing a plain character no going wizardslayer/shapechanger from a fighter/druid

). For the rest it is a way to complete the complete story with 1 character.
The classes like sorcerer and barbarian are not accesible that way though. You could however use
easytutu or BGtutu (no link sorry, but google is your friend

). This lets you play BG1 with the BG2 engine. This among other things opens the way for a all sorcerer runthrough.

Check this out:
GameFAQs: Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn (PC) AD&D Rules FAQ by DSimpson
It explains everything you need to know about AD&D rules for PCRPGs.
As a general advice: take your time to roll put some pretty good stats. Keep rolling until you can get your STR to something like 18/51 +, 18 DEX & CON. Knowing you, you're itching to play a fighter-type.

These stats are surely easy to come by. Drop that INT, WIS & CHA as low as possible.

18/51???? How do i access it, and what is it exactly? i didnt get any higher than 18... Or is it just same as 18? And i was thinking of blade/kensai, and you propably guessed it, dual wielding swords, short ones ya know
I just got another question to my mind, how do i learn spells for bard?? I already got mage armor or whatever it was in bg to my book, but can i remember it??? I tried as playing as wiz first(but it was just not me, i prefer the buff/dispeller/melee-type) so i know there should be these memorization slots in book, but there are none. Do i get them in levels(my int is 14 so i think some should be memorizable)

Well, every warrior type, that's Paladin, Barbarian, Ranger & Fighter and their kits, can get STR to 18/xx by spending points (clicking the "+" icon next to it). Of course, you have lower some other stat first, but getting top-of-the-line warrior stats really isn't hard in BG/BG1/IWD. Just roll untill you have a high total, dump INT, WIS & CHA and raise DEX, CON & STR to hell. Reroll if STR is lower than 18/51. Remember max Dex to AC isn't limited by armour here.
If you can be a Half-Orc (BGII or BG with Tutu-thingie), just get 19 STR & CON & 18 DEX.
For arcane spells, when you right click on the scroll, there appears, at the bottom right, a button "Scribe Scrol". Click it, and then you have a % chance, based on INT, that you'll learn it.
One of the lefthand icons is your mage Spellbook. Open it. Left page contains a number of slots, right page the known spells for a given level. Click on the icons to the right to fill up your slots on the left. You can memorize a spell more than once. Rest for 8 hours.
Hope it helped.

Well, if you aren't high enough level, yes. A Bard needs to be at least lvl 2 to cast lvl 1 spells. Check the tables in the manual.

Then how come you have the game? There's at least a pdf file on one of the discs.

Check the "Extra" Folder on the CD's/DVD's. At least, on the BG1 + 2 Pack, that's where the manuals were located. Just browse the discs a bit.
