I just got IWD and it worked fine until yesterday. Now every time I try to leave an area the game crashes and I have to restart the computer. It's only when travelling on the big map, not when entering houses and stuff.
Anyone have a clue on what this might be and how to solve it? It worked fine yesterday.

I didn't have this problem, but I will guess. How many big area's have you been to? It might be the cache isn't big enough for all the area's you been to. Try clearing out the area files in the cache folder and see if this helps.

Delete everything from your over ride folder as well. Also you could find the latest patch on fileplanet or check the IWD site

Thanks, I'll try that. My harddrive is a bit too full so I had to set my cache really low.
I've already tried the latest patch.
Anyway, if nothings works I'll just try reinstalling the whole thing.

I tried cleaning my cache - didn't work. Then I reinstalled and it worked until now. Exactly the same (it only happens when I leave Kuldahar). Deleting everything in the override, could that really work?

Not sure about the override folder, but you should also check the temp folder. It should be empty, if not delete the contents.

locate the folder called Data within the Cache folder of your IWD directory and delete all items...

Yep, that's what I did.
I'll try the Temp folder.

Have you tried adding some to the cache?

I've set the cache as high as I can.
I've tried deleting everything in the temp and cache and installed the latest patch: nothing helps
. Any suggestions?
