I don't think you can re-texture the armour, this game is no-where near as moddable as many others, looking at the main parts of the armour, i.e. for torso and legs...it looks to me like all the different sets are really recoloured body skins, and not a separate item which is worn over the the body mesh. (for instance, how the hell would nipples protrude through plate mail???

It certainly doesn't look that cold in the game!:laugh
I would have thought that there would have been a fair amount of discussion on modding the game if it was possible, but there is virtually nothing on any of the forums. The only thing out there appears to be the character editor.

well that could be why i couldnt find anything but someone has done some reskins of a lotta the females to make them more revealing but i cant find were to locate the textures themselves, and for some reason my game had a glitch i went to the house of the tiger to become a samurai and after beating the ronin i went back to the tiger then received the samurai class , then after going back to fargrove i went the house of the dragon and got the same mission to defeat the ronin again i went killed him and came back it awarded me the samurai class again. then i got the quest to find the master before the assassins attack him. it was very weird.

Retexturing armor is
extremely easy to do with a graphics editor as body armor items are in bmp form. I have had no luck with shoulders and helms.
I redid several sets for mostly females, but also some stuff for males as well. Not really to make the armor more "revealing", but to add some variety to the looks or make the armor less "dowdy" looking.
As for "real" modding, well no...Dungeon Lords is not very mod friendly at
all. No tools or anything, so making completely
new (not re-textured) armor/spells/weapons is out of the question unfortunately.
Armor for each playable character is in it's
own folder in the grn texture folder. So, for example I would go to the--
C:\Program Files\Dreamcatcher\Dungeon Lords\grn_texture\pchf
--folder if I wanted to change armor textures for females....elven females only get a couple of things specific to them, otherwise all females (elf or human) share in a pool of items. The same goes for human and elf males. The rest of the folders are specific to each race as only elves and humans have male and female.
I made a tutorial for people who wanted to use the items I made....this tutorial on where to put things would clear up any confusion for someone who wanted to make their own stuff but couldn't find the folder(s). That tutorial is
within this thread:

Got twelve grand US kickin' around?
Those model files can't be altered without the Granny 3d program AFAIK. Kinda pricey eh? :speech: You can copy or rename files to alter your characters appearance though. Check the last couple of pages of the screen shot thread to find out how to do this.
